Does your dog want nothing more than to knock the oncoming person over so they can lick their face? Using decoy people starting at a distance, this class will concentrate on rewarding for calm behavior as people approach. We will work on honing the dog's impulse control when working with controlled distractions. While not a "cure" for excitable greeters, this class will give you the tools to practice during class and out and about in the real world. Students who can bring an additional human decoy to class appreciated! This class is not for dogs who are fearful or show reactivity or aggression towards people or dogs.
