Tracking Classes

Introduction to Tracking:  The purpose of tracking or of a tracking test is to demonstrate the dog's ability to recognize and follow human scent.  Tracking is a non competitive sport and is also fun for those who never intend to have their dog take a tracking test.  It's a great way to expose your dog to a new sport and enjoy the outdoors.  What could be better than watching your dog do what comes naturally!   As a non competitive sport, Tracking is judged on a pass/fail basis. Dogs competing should demonstrate an ability to follow a human scent, but should also demonstrate willingness and enjoyment in their work.  During this four week course you will be exposed to the basics of tracking and to techniques to help you and your dog learn to do tracking exercises.  Class will be held outside at Fryeburg Fairgrounds.
