Dancer was one of 4 dogs on the obedience team. Team obedience consists of 4 dogs and 4 handlers. You are to perform the novice routine in unison; heel on leash, figure 8, stand for exam, heel off leash, recall is a drop on recall and the long sit and down. On the recall exeercise the judge will tell you where the first dog is to drop and the next 3, one at a time are suppose to drop in line with the first dog. (Easier said than done.) |

Trigger is now a Master Draft Dog!
To be a Master Draft Dog, you have to qualify 5 times in Open under 7 different judges (there are 2 per test). The Open test consists of an obstacle course in the ring (with cart) basic obedience (heeling and recall) and a freight-haul in which the dogs pull their own weight plus the weight of the cart over a 1/2 mile cross country course. (Open is, of course, off lead.)
